Special Advisor For Implementation at US Environmental Protection Agency

Ana Ruess is an experienced professional with a diverse background in environmental protection, rescue coordination, and education. Currently serving as a Special Advisor for Implementation at the US Environmental Protection Agency since April 2024, Ana also works as an Adoption Coordinator at A Cat's Life Rescue Inc, managing adoption events and supporting foster volunteers. As an Instructor at Movement, Ana leads climbing sessions focusing on safety and personal growth. Previous roles include Senior Analyst at Gryphon Scientific LLC, specializing in emergency management and risk assessment, and various teaching positions, including redesigning curriculum at Higher Achievement. Ana's engineering background was developed through internships at Nevro and BAE Systems, as well as research at the Cornell Biomedical Department. Ana holds a Master's of Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
