Chris Porter has extensive experience in the legal field. Chris began their career as an intern at the Federal Reserve Board in 2007. Chris then joined Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP in 2010, where they specialized in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and securities matters. In 2015, Chris moved to USA Compression, where they initially served as an Associate General Counsel before being promoted to Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary in 2017. Currently, Chris is a Charter Member at TechGC, a position they have held since 2021.

Chris Porter began their education journey in 2001 at Mays Business School - Texas A&M University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting in 2005. Chris then pursued further studies at Mays Business School in 2005-2006 and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Finance. Chris continued their educational pursuits at The George Washington University Law School from 2006 to 2009, where they completed their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree, specializing in Law.

USA Compression Partners LP (NYSE: USAC), based in Austin, TX, completed its IPO in January 2013. Founded in 1998, USAC is a growth-oriented MLP that is one of the largest U.S. independent providers of natural gas compression, based on total fleet horsepower of nearly 4 million as of August 2018.
