Tyler Houston

Tyler Houston is an experienced nurse manager currently leading the Access Center and Patient Placement staff at UW Health since April 2016. In this role, Tyler focuses on system improvements for inpatient access and patient placement, coordinating services including transfers, admissions, and bed tracking. Previous roles include serving as an Access Center Charge Nurse, where Tyler implemented patient-centered care, and as a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Nurse, managing complex patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Tyler began the nursing career as a Student Nurse in a burn ICU and further refined skills during an internship at Marquardt Village. Education includes a Master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Edgewood College.
