Stephen joined Valor in 2021 and serves as its Chief Legal Officer.
Prior to joining Valor, Stephen was an Assistant General Counsel at Invesco, where he served as general counsel for Invesco’s New York-based private alternative funds business, including their Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Credit businesses. Stephen was also the Head of Alternative Investments for the legal team at AllianceBernstein, where he led the team responsible for the development and support of AB’s private alternative investment vehicles. Stephen has also served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Company, one of the oldest Abu Dhabi government-owned financial services companies specializing in private investments, and as the global head of the Alternative Investments legal team for Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management division.
Stephen has over 10 years’ experience in corporate and securities transactions with leading global law firms Clifford Chance, Jones Day and Morgan Lewis. He holds a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law and a B.A. from Cornell University.
