Ana Alejandra Leal Lara is an experienced environmental engineer with a strong background in stakeholder engagement and project management, currently working at Van Oord since January 2023. Previous roles include serving as Environmental Coordinator at The Ocean Cleanup, where Ana coordinated the environmental and social impact assessments of multiple river projects across several continents. Ana has expertise in developing innovative solutions in the water and sanitation sector and has held various positions that involved significant project development and strategic planning, ranging from business development to project management in organizations such as IRCWASH and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Ana holds a Master of Science in Water Management and Governance from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
