Taylor T Johnson is an Associate Professor of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, serving since August 2016. Johnson directs the Verification and Validation for Intelligent and Trustworthy Autonomy Laboratory (VeriVITAL) and is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Software Integrated Systems (ISIS). Research primarily focuses on formal verification and software engineering methods to ensure safety and security in cyber-physical systems (CPS), with particular attention to the robustness and safety of artificial intelligence and machine learning models. Johnson is also the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of CelerFama, a healthcare IT startup, and has held academic positions at the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, among others. Educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BSEE from Rice University.
