Adam Shalapin

Vice President, Global Sustainability at Vantage Data Centers

Adam Shalapin serves as the Vice President of Global Sustainability at Vantage Data Centers since October 2024, following a substantial tenure at Ball Corporation where Adam advanced from Manager to Director of Global Sustainability between June 2013 and October 2024. In the Director role, Adam led sustainability initiatives across North America's Beverage business, developed Ball's Net Zero Model, and played a key role in enhancing aluminum-related Scope 3 emissions calculations. Prior experience includes management roles in environmental analysis and remediation at United Airlines, and engineering positions at ERM and CDM Smith focusing on air quality and climate change. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Energy, Environment, and Economics from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Additionally, Adam participated in a study abroad program at the American College of Thessaloniki.
