Carmen Giger

Carmen Giger is an Embedded Software Engineer at Varda Space Industries since July 2022, with a solid background in software development for robotics and embedded systems. Carmen led the software branch of the Michigan Mars Rover student project team from September 2019 to June 2022, managing sub-teams focused on critical areas such as teleoperation and navigation. Prior experience includes internships at Anduril Industries, Collins Aerospace, FANUC America Corporation, and Bosch, where Carmen developed algorithms for radar signal processing, corrosion detection applications, and autonomous robotic systems. Carmen holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and participated in a study abroad program at Technische Universität Berlin.
