Karen Bois has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 2003. Karen began their career at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Lab Services Associate. Karen then moved to (Yoh Scientific) Scientist I at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in 2007, followed by Production Analyst II at Protein Sciences Corporation in 2011. In 2012, they began their role as Senior Associate Scientist at Pfizer, where they supported Lead Discovery Chemistry by analysis and purification of achiral and chiral lead chemistry compounds. In 2017, they joined Stratacuity: Proven Scientific Placement as a Research Associate, where they preformed testing and development experiments on finished drug products and API. In 2019, they moved to L.E.A.F. Pharmaceuticals as a Quality Control Specialist, and is currently an Associate Scientist at Vaxess Technologies.

Karen Bois earned an Associate of Science degree from Middlesex Community College in 2002, majoring in Biotechnology. Karen then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hartford in Chemistry/Biology, which they completed in 2011. Finally, they earned a Master of Arts degree from Brown University in Biology, General in 2016.
