Jackie Zurborg is an experienced professional in research operations and policy development, currently serving as the Director of Research Operations and previously as the Manager of Research Programs at Vector Institute since December 2018. Zurborg focuses on building programming to enhance the AI research community and attract talented researchers in Ontario and internationally. Prior to this role, Zurborg spent nearly a decade with the Ontario Government, holding various positions including Senior Policy and Program Advisor in the Tourism Division, where Zurborg contributed to strategic initiatives for the provincial tourism industry, and Project Management Advisor, successfully transforming a parking lot at Ontario Place into a recognized waterfront park. Earlier career experience includes roles at the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Government of Alberta, where Zurborg provided key administrative support and coordination for several high-profile government initiatives.
