Ph.d. ,vice President Procurement- Direct Materials And Logistics at Vericast

Ken Smith has over 40 years of experience in procurement and supply management. Ken currently holds the position of Vice President of Procurement for Direct Materials and Logistics at Vericast since 2014. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director of Procurement at Harland Clarke from 2010 to 2014 and as the Director of Global Procurement and Supply Management from 2002 to 2009. Ken also has experience as the Director of Global Procurement at Flextronics from 1998 to 2002, and as the Manager of Procurement at Raytheon from 1988 to 1998. Ken started their career at Northrop Grumman as a Senior Contract Administrator from 1982 to 1988. Before that, Ken worked as a Central Area Sales Manager at National Oilwell Varco and as a Product Marketing Specialist at Gardner Denver Pumps.

Ken Smith holds a Ph.D. in Political Science, Economics, and Education from the University of North Texas, which they obtained between 1991 and 1998. Ken also has a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree from The University of Texas at Dallas, earned from 1985 to 1988. In addition, they completed an Economics/Business Administration M.S./M.B.A. program at Texas A&M University-Commerce from 1980 to 1981. Ken Smith's undergraduate degree, a B.A., was earned in Business and English from Austin College, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. Ken has also obtained various certifications, including the Columbia Sports Industry Essentials, Qualified Licensing Practitioner (QLP), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), and Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M).
