Isabel Zacharias

Isabel Zacharias is a medical professional with extensive experience in hepatology and clinical development. Currently serving as Medical Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since November 2020, Isabel previously held the position of Associate Medical Director in Clinical Development at the same company. Prior to this role, Isabel was a Staff Hepatologist at University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center from November 2012 to November 2020 and worked as a Staff Hepatologist at Lahey Clinic Medical Center for a decade. Isabel's medical training includes fellowships in Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology, as well as residency in Internal Medicine. Isabel holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University.
