David Helliwell

David Helliwell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the healthcare and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member for VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and Life Sciences BC, David is also the Co-Founder and Executive Board Chair of Thrive Health, a company focused on enhancing patient well-being through innovative software solutions. With a background that includes mentoring health tech startups at Creative Destruction Lab and advising on policy as Director of Policy to Cabinet Minister Stephen Owen, David has a robust track record in leadership and entrepreneurship. David's educational credentials include a BSc in Geophysics from The University of British Columbia, an MBA from École des Ponts Business School, and further studies at Harvard University. Previous roles include leadership positions at Pulse Energy and EnerNOC, as well as contributions to the BC Healthcare Awards.
