Tom Mechelse

Tom Mechelse is a seasoned sports media professional with extensive experience in editorial roles across various prominent companies. Since January 2022, Mechelse has served as the Editor in Chief Sports at Viaplay Group, focusing on Premier League coverage. Prior to this role, Mechelse held positions as Sports Editor and Coordinator at Talpa TV from August 2018 to December 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing Veronica Inside and coverage of the Champions League and Europa League. Previous experience includes serving as Sports Editor for RTL and Endemol Nederland Mediagroep, managing programming for Voetbal Inside and multiple FOX Sports shows. Mechelse began a career in sports editing at Infostrada Sports Group from 2008 to 2013, after earning a Bachelor of Journalism from HBO University in 2011.
