Julie Chase has a diverse work experience in the fields of marketing, tourism, and communications. Julie started their career in 1989 as a Public Relations Representative at the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory. From there, they moved on to the Texas Department of Economic Development where they served as an International Marketing Manager and later as Canada Marketing Manager and Communications Specialist. In 2003, Julie joined the Office of Governor Rick Perry as the Director of Texas Tourism, a position they held until 2012. Since then, they have been working at Visit Austin, where they currently hold the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer.
Julie Chase obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Media Studies from Texas Tech University. The specific start and end years of their education were not provided.
