Robert Desautels has an extensive background in the hospitality and banking industries, with a career spanning several decades. Since May 1985, Robert has served as the Senior Manager of Convention Services at Visit Indy, acting as the primary liaison for clients organizing conventions in Indianapolis, providing a range of services including housing, publicity, and vendor access. Prior to this role, Robert held positions as Assistant Vice President in the Real Estate Division and Communications at AFNB (now Chase Bank) and American Fletcher National Bank from May 1967 to May 1985. Additionally, Robert served as Past President of the Event and Safety Planning Association (ESPA), a professional organization dedicated to education and networking in the hospitality industry. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and Communications from Xavier University, earned in 1966.
