Ben Janzen

Ben Janzen is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in grief recovery, education, and translation. Currently serving as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, Bereavement Services Manager, and Team Chaplain at VITAS Healthcare since June 2010, Ben Janzen has completed 5 units of Clinical Pastoral Education and acted as a Supervisory Education Student with ACPE during 2011-2012. Prior experience includes serving as an instructor at UCSD Extension, where classes in Philosophy, Literature, and Religious Studies were offered, and translating higher education texts related to spirituality and theology for the Philosophical and Theological College of the Capuchins in Germany. Additionally, experience as a German instructor at UCR and lecturing on religious studies further showcases Ben Janzen’s academic expertise. Ben Janzen holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Riverside, and a Dr. Theol. in Philosophy and Catholic Theology from the University of Münster, among other academic qualifications in humanities and philosophy.
