Amrit Knoppers

Amrit Knoppers is a professional with extensive experience in functional management and research within environmental and biological fields. Currently employed as a Senior Functioneel Beheerder S4/HANA at Vitens since September 2021, Amrit has previously held positions such as Key User and Adviseur Binnendienst at the Gezondheidsdienst voor Dieren (GD) from February 2018 to September 2021. Amrit's research background includes internships at the Dutch Wildlife Health Centre (DWHC), Arcadis, NIOO-KNAW, and De Vlinderstichting, focusing on wildlife health, monitoring of wildlife passages, reproduction timing in controlled environments, and the impact of climate change on butterfly phenology. Academically, Amrit holds a Master of Science in Environmental Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utrecht University, along with education at NCOI University of Applied Sciences and Ghent University.
