Premji Velani is an experienced telecommunications professional with a career spanning several decades, currently serving as a Fixed Network Specialist for Fibre Services at Vodafone since July 2012. In this role, Premji focuses on the design of fibre optic cable networks and cable diversions, collaborating with various stakeholders, including Highway Authorities and other utility companies. Prior experience includes a position as Senior Planning Engineer at Cable & Wireless, where Premji managed core network and customer fibre network planning, and roles at BT as both an Internal Construction Engineer and External Planning Engineer, contributing to telephone exchange installations and copper network planning. Premji began the career as a Telecoms Equipment Installer at GEC Telecommunications plc, following an early role in electronic equipment assembly. Educational qualifications include an HND in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Southall College of Technology.
