Bingtao Tang

Bingtao Tang has a diverse work experience in the field of cancer immunotherapy and cell therapy. Bingtao is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Vor Biopharma, where they focus on CAR-T therapy for cancer immunotherapy. Prior to this, they were a Scientist at TCR² Therapeutics Inc., where they conducted various in vitro and in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy of TRuC T cells and supervised associates in their research. Bingtao also played a role in writing reports for TRuC T cell IND filing.

Before their role at TCR² Therapeutics, Bingtao worked at Takeda Oncology as a Scientist. Here, they contributed to the cryoprocess development for drug product and was involved in process development for allogeneic skin-derived CAR-γδT therapy. Bingtao also worked on the process improvement for uAPC (unlicensed allergenic cellular product) manufacturing.

Bingtao's earlier work experience includes being a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Here, they lectured and supervised students in Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab and provided additional help during office hours. Bingtao was also a C★STAR Fellow and Research Assistant, where they worked on using poxvirus to improve immunotherapy for brain glioma.

Prior to their work in the United States, Bingtao served as the Team Leader of a National Undergraduate Innovative Experiment Project at Xi'an Jiaotong University. Here, they focused on functionalized PHA nanoparticles and their application in tumor diagnosis and intervention. Bingtao conducted molecular engineering to construct gene expression vectors and performed purification and identification of fusion proteins.

Overall, Bingtao Tang has gained extensive experience in cancer immunotherapy, cell therapy, and molecular engineering through their various roles in academic and industry settings.

Bingtao Tang's education history begins in 2009 when they attended Xi'an Jiaotong University, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering in 2013. Subsequently, in the same year, they enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed a Master's degree in Physiology, General by 2015. Bingtao continued their academic journey at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology, General with a specialization in Cancer Immunotherapy in 2020.

In terms of additional certifications, Bingtao Tang obtained their Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in January 2021. Bingtao furthered their credentials by obtaining the Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES) certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in March 2023. Additionally, they obtained CPR/AED certification from the American Safety Training Institute in the same month and year.
