Billy Tang

Billy Tang has been working in the animation industry since 1999. Billy began their career as an Animator at Skynet Limited in 1999. Billy then moved to Main Digiworks Limited in 2001 and worked as an Animator. In 2002, they joined Element 6 Production as a Senior Animator. Billy then moved to Hong Kong Cable Television Limited in 2003 and worked as a Senior Animator. In 2005, they joined Centro Digital Pictures Limit as a Senior Animator and Meiah Entertainment Group as an Animator Director. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Vyond as a Principal Technical Artist and Lead Animator, coding new tools for animators and exploring the possibilities of new features that benefit end-users.

Billy Tang has an education history that spans from 1994 to 2018. Billy attended Ferris Elementary School, Palmer, and the University of British Columbia, where they completed Year 2 of Mathematics. Billy then obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering CAD/CAM from the British Columbia Institute of Technology between 1996 and 1998. In 2007, they received a Diploma in Character Animation from AnimationMentor.com. In 2018, they obtained a Data Science & Machine Learning Certificate from Accelerate. Additionally, in February 2018, they received a Python Certificate from Accelerate HK.
