Kath Hernon

Kath Hernon is an experienced biodiversity and conservation professional currently serving as a Biodiversity Officer at Waitrose & Partners since August 2022. Prior to this role, Kath held positions at Dorset Council, including Country Park Manager and Countryside Ranger, from April 2019 to August 2022, and worked as a Countryside Ranger and Assistant Countryside Ranger at Dorset County Council from March 2015 to April 2019. Additional experience includes serving as a Developing Green Talent Trainee at Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) and as a Seasonal Field Officer at Amphibian and Reptile Conservation. Kath also worked as a Seasonal Warden at BBOWT. Academic qualifications include a BSc Hons in Conservation and Wildlife Management from Sparsholt College and ongoing pursuit of an MSc by Research in Agriculture, Ecology and Environment at the University of Reading.
