Mjere Simantel has extensive experience in health and human services, currently serving as the Director of Health and Human Services for Washington County since January 2017, with previous roles including Interim Director, Assistant Director, and Disability, Aging and Veteran Services Program Supervisor. Prior to this, Mjere held various positions at Willamette View, including Health Care Services Administrator and Director of Wellness Programs, and worked as a School to Career Consultant and Vocational Consultant at Clackamas Education Service District and McCauley Potter Fain, respectively. Mjere's career began at Clackamas County as a Skills Group Counselor and Drug Court Coordinator. Mjere holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from Portland State University.
