James Ecker is an experienced leader in organic waste processing and recycling with over three decades in the industry. Currently serving as the Director of Organics Project Development & Technology at Waste Management since May 2012, James focuses on the technical and business development of organic waste solutions across North America. Previously, as General Manager at New England Organics, James achieved significant revenue and profit growth, while also managing a $35 million division. James's earlier roles include Regional Manager and Corporate Manager for BFI Organics, and Staff Engineer/Facility Manager at Resource Conservation Services, where James played a key role in establishing an award-winning compost facility. James holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and has completed a Master's program in Environmental Engineering at Duke University.
