Matthew Edwards

Matthew Edwards is an experienced radio network engineer and project manager currently employed at WaterNSW since October 2023. With a strong background in telecommunications, Matthew operates a consulting business, Applied Connections Pty Ltd, where project management and network engineering services are provided to clients requiring high-performance systems. Previous roles include project management positions at Climax Air Conditioning and GHD, where responsibilities encompassed business development, design management, and asset management for critical infrastructure largely within the defence and public sectors. As head of engineering and maintenance at VASP Group, Matthew managed a major maintenance contract, and earlier, led a significant upgrade project for Optus 3G sites. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics from the University of Technology Sydney and is pursuing a Diploma in Project Management.
