Andrew Payton is the current Department Chair of the Special Education Department at Waterloo Community School District. Prior to this role, Andrew worked as a Special Education Teacher at Ankeny Community School District and Waterloo Community School District. Andrew holds a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Upper Iowa University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from the same university. In addition, Andrew also holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Sport Studies from the University of Iowa. Some of Andrew's responsibilities in their current role include attending meetings, ensuring IEP compliance, conducting new staff training, managing supplies and resources, and participating in Triad Meetings.
