The Role The purpose of the Quality Control Inspector role at Waterworks is to implement and maintain appropriate processes with respect to overall product quality assurance, the made-to –order plumbing program, and the out-sourced metals finishing and assembly processes.
This role is an on-site position based at our Distribution Center in Brookfield, CT.
Responsibilities
Communicate and maintain a quality plan/process to bring the Waterworks quality standards in line with overall company practices.
Inspect esthetique and functionality of Waterworks plumbing and furnishings items to Waterworks standards.
Ensure tests, procedures and Waterworks quality standards are carried out through Waterworks products.
Communicate product imperfections and investigate and implemented solutions when necessary.
Partner with cross functional departments to establish and maintain quality expectations from external suppliers.
Interaction with co-workers, Product Support, Product Development and Assembly Teams.
Document all quality issues and solutions appropriately.
2+ years prior experience in Quality Control for consumer product manufacturer dealing with metals
Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
Demonstrated exceptional oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including the ability to manage data in Excel a plus
Experience with quality system audits
Demonstrates a passion and a responsibility for consumer satisfaction
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development.
