Tahir Abdelmawla

Tahir Abdelmawla is a seasoned educational leader currently serving as the Principal at Underwood Elementary School and formerly as the Associate Principal at Longfellow Middle School within the Wauwatosa School District since July 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Social Studies/School Culture and Climate Specialist and Social Studies Teacher at Milwaukee Public Schools from August 2016 to August 2020. Additionally, Tahir served as a 13F Fire Support Sergeant in both the Army National Guard and the US Army from January 2009 to June 2016. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, anticipated completion in December 2025.
