Eric Max

Eric Max is a seasoned Technical Program Manager with extensive experience in software and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Sr Technical Program Manager at Waymo since May 2021, Eric previously held senior technical management roles at Loon, X (the moonshot factory), and Nest, where contributions included innovative product launches, software development, and team leadership. Notably, Eric led the successful rollout of weather prediction and machine-learned navigation systems at Loon, drove the migration of Nest products to a modern software architecture, and oversaw significant improvements in certification timelines and processes at Nest. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University, Eric's diverse background also includes consulting and engineering roles across various industries, including LED lighting and water purification systems.
