John Oxaal is a seasoned mechanical design engineer with extensive experience in the field of optomechanical and electromechanical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Waymo since November 2018, where the focus is on the design and manufacturing of next-generation LIDAR systems. Prior to this role, John worked at Google in various capacities, including as a Product Design Engineer for Pixel Phone and accessories, and as a Mechanical Engineer for Google Fiber, where innovations in underground construction technologies were developed.
