Huailei (Ray) Jiang is a highly experienced professional in the field of radiochemistry and radiation safety, currently serving as the Radiation Safety Officer and Chair of the Radioactive Drug Research Committee at Karmanos Cancer Institute since December 2020. In addition, Huailei holds the position of Scientific Director/Sr Radiochemist of the Cyclotron & Radiochemistry Core, overseeing radiotracer development and manufacturing. Concurrently, Huailei is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Wayne State University. Previous roles include Senior PET Radiochemist at Mayo Clinic, where significant contributions were made to PET drug production, leading to FDA approvals for multiple radiopharmaceuticals. Earlier experience includes work as a Synthetic Organic Chemist at ChemPartner and various roles at Mayo Clinic involving the translation of novel radiotracers for IND studies.
