Jim Dauer

Jim Dauer currently serves as the Associate Director of Philanthropy at Wayne State University, a role held since April 2018. Previously, Jim was a Major Gift Consultant at Providence Health Foundation from June 2012 to April 2018. Between February 2009 and June 2012, Jim directed development efforts at DePaul University, contributing to significant college campaigns as part of a $250 million capital initiative. Other roles include Director of Development at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, and Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Wayne State University from 2003 to 2007. Jim also has experience as Director of Foundation and Government Relations for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, overseeing grant acquisitions and initiatives, and served as Membership Director at Chamber Music America, managing membership marketing and benefits. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Case Western Reserve University and graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School.
