John Hallden has extensive experience in the field of lighting for television shows. John began their career in 1988 as a Lighting Technician at R.A. Roth, where they worked until 1992. In 1994, they joined Turner Broadcasting as a Lighting Director and worked there until 2012. During their time at Turner Broadcasting, they designed and implemented lighting schemes for live and prerecorded television shows both in the studio and on remote locations. Additionally, they supervised crews and managed lighting packages. In 2013, they worked as a Dimmer board operator at two different companies, Mockingjay and Independent. Finally, in 2014, they joined The Weather Channel as a Lighting Director.
John Hallden obtained their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Rock Valley College from 1983 to 1985. John then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theatre/Design from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale between 1985 and 1988.
