Susan Holzapfel

Susan Holzapfel has over 30 years of experience in media operations and production. Susan began their career at Turner Broadcasting as an Edit Supervisor, where they supervised incoming audio/video news feeds and distributed assignments to edit staff. Susan also developed and maintained an archive tape library. Susan then moved on to CNN, where they served as a Media Operations Video Supervisor and supervised the daily operation of the Media Operations division, coordinating edit assignments and media coordination. During their tenure at The Weather Channel, Susan held various roles including Senior Manager of Media Operations/Media Assets and Manager of Video Media Production. In these roles, they implemented and executed the Media Asset Management program, trained production staff on workflow processes, and increased support for advertising sales and promotional units across platforms. Susan also oversaw the transition from tape-based workflows to Final Cut Pro. Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills.
