Melinda Root

Melinda Root is an accomplished M&A/Private Equity Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP since November 2020, with prior experience as a Summer Associate at the same firm and Baker McKenzie. Melinda served as a Teaching Assistant to Professor Susan C. Morse at The University of Texas School of Law during the fall of 2019 and interned at the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts. Melinda's earlier career includes roles in program management at Sapient Government Services and the University of Virginia Department of Physics, where Melinda contributed as an Undergraduate Researcher. Melinda holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Virginia.
