Christopher Hennessy

Christopher Hennessy currently serves as the Director of Executive Communications at Wellesley College, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this, Hennessy worked as a Senior Communications Officer at Harvard University from August 2018 to February 2023, and served in multiple roles at Wellesley College from October 2015 to August 2018, including Senior Writer for Presidential Communications and Associate Director of Media Relations. Hennessy also has experience as a Writer/Researcher at Emerson College's School of the Arts in 2015, where project consultancy focused on high-visibility initiatives. Prior to these roles, Hennessy contributed as a Writer, Editor, Teaching Fellow, and Doctoral Candidate at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from September 2009 to February 2015, earning a Ph.D. in Literature. Earlier experience includes various writing and public relations positions at Emerson College, including Editor and Public and Media Relations Expert, from October 2000 to July 2009. Hennessy holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College and a Ph.D. in Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
