Kristin Butcher is a prominent economist with extensive experience in academia and research institutions. Currently serving as Vice President and Director of Microeconomic Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago since May 2022, Kristin also holds the position of Marshall I. Goldman Professor of Economics at Wellesley College, a role maintained since July 2006. Prior to these positions, Kristin was the Director of the Center on Children and Families at The Brookings Institution from July 2021 to May 2022. Kristin Butcher earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Princeton University.
