Martin Geurts

Martin Geurts currently serves as the Director of Internal Audit Services at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield since November 2017. Prior to this role, Martin was the Director of Financial Control Risk at Voya Financial from June 1998 to November 2017, where oversight and direction were provided for management's compliance with SOX404 and the NAIC Model Audit Rule, in addition to participation in operational risk management projects. Martin began a career in auditing at Bergan Paulsen, CPA, from August 1995 to June 1998, leading financial and compliance audits for financial institutions and closely held corporations, while also preparing income tax returns. Martin holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa, earned between 1991 and 1995.
