Derek Rone

Derek Rone is a seasoned IT professional with over 17 years of diverse experience in software development and project leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Systems Engineer at WellSky since May 2021, Derek has a strong background in technical program management from previous roles at Service Management Group. Derek progressed from Program Manager to Technical Program Manager within the same organization from May 2017, and has experience as a Solution Architect/Product Owner at State Farm from June 1999 to October 2016. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Missouri State University, Derek possesses significant expertise in IT problem-solving, team management, and communication, contributing to cost-saving outcomes throughout the software development life cycle.
