Steven Derwoed

Steven Derwoed currently serves as VP Global Design + Construction at The Wendy's Company, overseeing global design and construction initiatives across 32 countries, focusing on strategic design development and brand image preservation. Prior to this role, Steven held multiple leadership positions at Macy's, including SVP of Store Design, where responsibilities encompassed managing a team of 40 and guiding the design of over 700 retail locations. Steven's previous experience includes principal roles at Callison, leading its NYC retail business unit, and founding the NYC flagship office for RYA Design Consultancy. Steven also contributed significantly at Grid2 International as Associate Partner and Director of Projects, helping elevate the firm's status as a top retail design firm. Steven holds a BA in Human Environment and Design from Michigan State University and furthered studies at the University of London.
