Jason Xu

Jason Xu is an experienced technology executive with a robust background in machine learning, augmented reality, and deep learning. Currently serving as Executive Director at WeRide.ai since April 2019, Jason has held leadership roles including Director and Head of Augmented Reality at Didi Chuxing and Senior Director at Blippar. Previous positions include Applied Research Manager at Sony Electronics, Researcher at Siemens Corporate Research, and various roles in academia as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Jason holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Pattern Recognition and Automation from Tsinghua University.
