Lori Merrill

Lori Merrill is a Principal Research Associate at Westat since November 2006, with previous experience as a Scientific Editor at The Scientific Consulting Group, Inc. from 2004 to 2006 and as a Research Technician at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 1999 to 2004. Earlier roles include serving as a Research Assistant at Iowa State University from 1993 to 1999, where significant research was conducted on microbial communities and malodorous chemicals in swine waste storage systems. Additionally, during the tenure at Iowa State University, Lori coordinated the Biochemistry teaching laboratory, focusing on safety training and curriculum development. Lori holds a Master's Degree in Microbiology with a minor in Water Resources from Iowa State University (1997-1999) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Harvard University (1988-1992).
