Peterson Judd has extensive work experience in project management and environmental regulation. Peterson started their career in 1985 as the Chief Mining Permitting Officer for the State of Alaska's Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, where they oversaw mining applications, inspections, and reclamation for approximately 300 active placer mining operations. In 1996, they joined the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, Solid Waste Division, as the Industrial Waste Manager, responsible for permitting and closure of drilling waste landfills. Peterson also managed a statewide program for the closure of historic drilling waste sites. In the same year, they also became a Principal Project Manager at Weston Solutions, Inc. with no specified end date.
Peterson Judd completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology from the University of Arkansas in 1969. Peterson further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Geology from the same university between 1969 and 1971.
