Kate Thompson

Kate Thompson is an experienced professional in digital engagement and product management, currently serving as the Digital Engagement Lead and Service Owner for Product Innovation & Management at Westpac since May 2019. Prior to this role, Kate held various leadership positions at Mastercard from January 2015 to February 2019, including Director of Retail Accounts and Head of Debit for Australasia. Kate's earlier career experience includes significant roles at HSBC, where responsibilities included Senior Product Manager for Cards and Unsecured Lending, and Business Implementation Manager in Consumer Finance. Kate's career began at Daisytek Australia in roles such as National Retail Sales and Marketing Manager and Product Manager. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with a focus on Marketing and Business Economics from UNSW, completed between 1995 and 1997.
