Paul May is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as a Lecturer at San Jose State University since January 2022, Paul teaches Solidworks for Packaging. Paul has also been a Mechanical Engineer III at WESTPAK, Inc. since May 2018, focusing on modeling, designing, and fabricating specialized equipment while troubleshooting failures. Previously, Paul was a Manufacturing Engineer at Benchmark Electronics, leading the Material Review Board and achieving significant inventory recovery. Paul began their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Cool Dry RF and has held roles as a Shift Foreman at Hogue Inc. and as a Machinist/CNC Programmer/Mechanical Engineer Assistant at Invitrogen. Paul holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University, complemented by pre-engineering studies at MiraCosta College.
