Amy Axelrod

Amy Axelrod has extensive experience in leadership and governance roles, currently serving as Chief of Staff and Board Relations at GBH since August 2015, with progressive responsibilities including Senior Director and Director of Board Relations. Prior to GBH, Amy was active in local government as a Town Meeting Member and an Advisory Committee Member for the Town of Wellesley from 2004 to 2019. Amy also contributed to the philanthropic sector as Director of Institutional Advancement and Development Officer at the Foundation for MetroWest from 2010 to July 2015, focusing on resource development and donor relations. Earlier in their career, Amy practiced law as an Associate at Mahoney, Hawkes & Goldings, representing clients in various litigation matters. Amy holds a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Wellesley College and a J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law.
