Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People
Lisa Marshall is a legal professional with extensive experience in various senior roles. Currently serving as General Counsel at Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People since July 2025, Lisa previously held the position of Senior Solicitor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment from October 2022 to July 2025. Prior to that, Lisa worked at the Environmental Protection Authority NZ as both Principal Solicitor and Senior Solicitor, and also acted as Manager for New Organism Applications. Additional experience includes a Senior Solicitor role at the Ministry for the Environment and a Senior Associate position at Mills & Reeve. Early legal career stages were spent as Solicitor at Berrymans Lace Mawer and Duncan Cotterill. Lisa holds an LLB(Hons)/BSc degree in Law and Ecology from Victoria University of Wellington.
