Illya Bomash

Illya Bomash is a seasoned data science leader with extensive experience in the education technology sector. Currently serving as Senior Director of Data Science at Wiley since June 2019, Illya drives the direction for AI, data products, and analytics within Wiley’s research and learning divisions, while managing teams globally. Previously, as Director of Data Science at Knewton, Illya led data science initiatives and contributed to educational product developments. From March 2013 to May 2019 at Knewton, Illya held various roles including Head of Data Science, focusing on research strategy, product delivery, and efficacy analysis in adaptive learning. Illya's early experience includes a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from Weill Cornell Medical College and significant research at the American Museum of Natural History, along with a foundational degree from Harvard University.
