Charles Jefferson

Vice President, Federal & International Public Policy at Wine Institute

Charles Jefferson has a significant amount of experience in the field of public policy and government relations. Charles began their career as a Special Assistant to Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1992, where they served until 2002. From 2003 to 2009, they worked as the Chief of Staff for Representative Mike Thompson. Charles then joined the BGR Group as a Vice President from 2009 to 2012. In 2013, Charles joined the Wine Institute, initially serving as the Vice President of Federal Relations until 2017, and then becoming the Vice President of Federal & International Public Policy in 2018.

Charles Jefferson attended Davidson College from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
