Mark Harley

Mark Harley is an experienced engineering leader specializing in machine learning platform development, currently serving as Engineering Lead at Wise since December 2021. Prior roles include Head of Insight Engineering and Data Scientist at Mosaic Smart Data, as well as Quantitative Developer at Lendingblock. Mark co-founded SMS Tornado and worked as a Software Engineer at StarLeaf. Academic experience includes a Research Fellowship at Trinity College Dublin focusing on high energy scattering experiments and a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from The University of Edinburgh, where research concentrated on scattering amplitudes of non-Abelian theories. Mark has also contributed as a Teaching Assistant and Visiting Researcher, showcasing a strong foundation in theoretical physics and computational methodologies.
